kia ora m name is Jayde and my post is about some writing called the trudging bear where we make up a story of a bear  going on trip. i only maneged to do question one so bear with me.

On an early Monday morning kea conducted a crystallization experiment for christmas decorations. The materials we used were pipe cleaners,string,skewers,bowls,hot water and borax.first we had to get into groups in my group there wesley and Kael. 

After that we had to connect our pipe cleaners together by tying them like a spring.the colors we used were purple and black. Next, we tied them to a string then we tied the other side of the string to a skewer.We tied it to a skewer so it could hang by itself.

After that we handed over the hot water then we got Ms Catherine to put the borax in and let it set.Finally a day later we went to have a look and it has been crystallized.

On Monday Kea conducted an  Oobleck experiment . Oobleck is an non-newtonian fluid which means that it can mimic the substance of a solid if force is on it or a liquid if there is no force.it is made by mixing cornstarch water and food coloring together.

The explanation for the strange behavior of Oobleck lies in the shape of cornstarch particles, which are long and thin. When cornstarch mixes with water, the starch does not dissolve, but remains in suspension. Move the mixture slowly, and the particles slide past each other

Boom! “ What is happening?”  Breaking news, there will be a volcano happening in 1 hour and the red zone is all over mission bay and the city, watch out there is hot boiling lava. “Oh no i live in mission bay”  i thought to myself oh no! I started smelling smoke. Why is the ground shaking? I thought we had one hour. 

Me and my family started packing me and my siblings ran to our rooms faster than lightning to start packing. So I packed a blanket to keep me protected from the ash and smoke,goggles to protect my eyes from ashes,a clean big cold bottle of water to keep hydrated and some food and gloves.

“We were terrified so my mum said get in the car we need to leave fast with only half an hour left” I was so scared I was shivering.” In my mind I said are we going to make it, what if we don’t make it, what if we don’t. “I just had to believe we could make it when we got to the motorway there was a traffic jam. It took us 20 minutes to get out of the traffic jam and I was so relieved. 

“We just made it out of the motorway me and my family was so happy but we were still in the red zone. I saw the buildings crumbling apart. I saw  hot boiling lava rushing  towards us. We just made it to the safe zone. There was a wall made of obsidian according to my knowledge obsidian can resist lava so we are safe.

“I don’t know what was happening.” It felt like I was breaking up then I heard a voice and it said ¨this is the 1st stage¨.
I was like ¨what stage?¨
and the voice said ¨oh you’re new here oh well the first stage is precipitation¨.
When we turned into a raindrop and fell to the ground he said I asked who are you and he said another raindrop. We hit something. it’s called the ground, said the voice.now it’s time for stage 2 the collection phase said the voice what’s the collection phase . the collection phase is where we build up until we are very big.after that starts the final stage evapiration. “whats that evapiration is the phase where the suns heat turns us into gas and then we turn back into clouds . and that is the wayer cycle said the voice

Blasting off at the speed of light in a rocket to the moon. While going to the moon I can taste my lunch it did not taste so good. I Could also taste some milk form the milky way. All I could hear is the rocket blasting off in to space. And all I Could smell is my breath cause of the helmet . All I could see is the beautiful stars in the night sky. All I was Ablel to feel was the rocket going to the moon and I could not move cause of the speed we were going.
